Company at a glance EPRO Consulting JSC. (EPRO) was established in 2007 by a group of engineers (business registration certificate number 0102378538). Since its establishment, EPRO has focused its services to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Cleaner Production (CP). Based on this foundation, the company has developed its consultancy services in the fields of Climate change, Energy efficiency and Improvement of Productivity and Quality. Knowledge and experience in waste management EPRO has 14 years working experience in in-company waste management under consulting service of cleaner production. Knowledge and experience in identification of material balance, thus waste generation has been built up from methodology of cleaner production and remains valid. Since the Cleaner Production is actively switched to Sustainable Production and Consumption in Vietnam in 2020 with the promulgation of Decision 889/QD-TTg on 24 June 2020 on National Action Plan on Sustainable Production and Consumption for the period 2021-2030, waste management, particularly waste recycling beyond the manufacturing boundary has become one of the interests and key services of EPRO. EPRO is working on circular economy for paper, plastic sectors and is recently working with food and non-alcohol sectors. EPRO has good understanding of waste generation and management from industrial production, animal husbandry and domestic use. Knowledge and experience in policy advice EPRO has delivered a number of policy advice from development of incentive system to regulation. EPRO has provided policy advice to the Ministry of Industry and Trade in promulgation of the energy consumption benchmarking in beverage and seafood sector and revision of the energy consumption benchmarking in chemical sector. In the domestic waste sector, EPRO led study to recommend action plan to the Ministry of Construction to activate carbon credit mechanism. At provincial level, EPRO provided training and on-the job guidance to help provincial authorities to develop action plans. Recently, EPRO provided consultation on Biogas FIT for GIZ/BEM. Policy advice are commonly combined with sector assessment for solid recommendation.
