GHG emission inventory for chemical sector completed

EPRO Consulting JSC. completed GHG emission inventory of Vietnam Chemical Sector in 2020 with two scopes of Energy (combustion) and IPPU (industrial process) per consulting service contract with Ministry of Industry and Trade per requirement on sectoral GHG inventory and reporting under Decree 06/2022/ND-CP dated 7 January 2022 on Green house gas mitigation and ozone layer protection.
Energy benchmarking for beer and beverage sector to be updated

Under the consulting service to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the content of Circular 19/2016/TT-BCT on Energy Benchmark for beverage sector was reviewed, updated, and recomended with responses of 92 breweries, beverage producers and 46 local authorities in charge of implementation (Department of Industry and Trade). The major recommendation on update includes new category of brewery scale and benchmark for the period of 2026-2030.
A priority list of criteria for development of eco labelling recommended

A list of 55 criteria of ecolables and its roadmap for ecolabling of 83 products and services was developed and submited to Pollution Control Department of Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment under the consulting service with GIZ's project on SCP Outreach in Asia - The next five. Thanks to the strong supports of EPRO team, the director of EPRO completed this consulting service with massive review of over 3000 products and services under product classification system of Vietnam.
Survey on Carbon Monitoring for BioLive Project in 2024 starts

Under the consultancy service contract with Nexus Carbon for Development Ltd, a Carbon Monitoring Survey will be conducted with Interview (269 households) and Kitchen Performance Test (8 households) in 6 provinces of Binh Dinh, Dak lak, Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Tra Vinh and Vinh Phuc in May 2024. The survey aims to collect and consolidate date on characteristics, technology use, fuel consumption, leakages and sustainable development indicators of BioLive Project.
A set of calculation tool for estimation of GHG emission reduction potential developed

The Vietnamese-German “Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Vietnam (BEM)” project has developed project documents for 27 pilot projects in 15 companies to introduce bioenergy as alternative fuels for fossil fuels. A set of calculation tools to estimate the GHG emission potentials of these pilots was developed and completed with guidelines and available data from pre-feasibility studies.
